Two Nassau County police officers were injured as they tried to arrest a Baldwin man who attacked them.
On December 2 at 10:00 p.m. in Baldwin, officers responded to a Bonnie Drive residence for a disturbance. Upon arrival, officers encountered Karlhentz Louissaint, 29, who was acting irate and began to attack them. Two officers sustained injuries during the course of the arrest when Louissaint became violent and combative while resisting arrest. Both officers were transported to a local area hospital for treatment of their injuries.
Louissaint was charged with third-degree menacing, third-degree criminal mischief, two counts of second-degree assault, resisting arrest, and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. He was arraigned on December 3 at First District Court in Hempstead.
