Nassau County Narcotics/Vice Squad recently reported the arrest of two males for Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance that occurred between March 25 and August 7.
According to detectives, an extensive investigation into narcotics sales and criminal activity throughout Nassau County was conducted. During the investigation, two men were arrested for various crimes that occurred within the aforementioned timeframe.
Miguel Pineda, 30, of 2 Beech Street in Hicksville, was charged with ten counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, three counts of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, five counts of second-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, one count of first-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, four counts of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, four counts of third-degree criminal sale of a firearm, four counts of first-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and resisting arrest.
Juan Carlos Sanchez, 35, of 1122 Saint James Avenue, Massachusetts, was charged with first-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, two counts of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
During the arrest processing, detectives found 13 clear mini-Ziplock bags containing a white powdery substance believed to be cocaine on Sanchez and 14 clear mini-Ziplock bags containing a white powdery substance believed to be cocaine on Pineda.
Both were arraigned on August 8 at First District Court in Hempstead.
