Two men were arrested after burglarizing a house in Elmont.
On January 25 at 11 a.m., Nassau County officers from the Fifth Squad responded to a residence on Hoffman Avenue for a burglary in progress. After an investigation, police found Steeve Severe, 42, of 245 Hathaway Avenue, Elmont and Luis Ramos, 40, undomiciled, inside the house. They were arrested at the scene without incident.
Ramos was charged with second-degree burglary, third-degree grand larceny, third-degree criminal mischief and possession of burglar tools. Severe was charged with second-degree burglary, third-degree grand larceny and third-degree criminal mischief. They were scheduled to be arraigned on January 26 at First District Court in Hempstead.
