Nassau County officers reported the arrest of two people for criminal possession of a firearm in Bethpage.

On March 3 at approximately 7:00 p.m., Nassau and Suffolk County officers assisted each other in executing several search warrants in Nassau County for crimes committed in Suffolk County. As officers conducted a search warrant at the Extended Stay America, located at 905 South Oyster Bay Road, they found a loaded Glock 43 9mm handgun, and Joshua Garrett, 20, of Amityville, and Janea Wolfolk, 26, of Hempstead, were arrested without incident.
Garrett and Wolfolk were charged with criminal possession of a firearm. Garrett is also charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree. Wolfolk was released on an appearance ticket returnable on March 14 at First District Court. Garrett is being arraigned on March 4 at First District Court.
