Trio Arrested for East Garden City Robbery

Three male juveniles were arrested for their roles in a robbery that took place in East Garden City.

According to Nassau County Third Squad Detectives, a 56-year-old male was walking in the vicinity of the blue parking garage near Macy’s on December 30 at 11:20 p,m., when he was approached by three male subjects. One of the subjects pulled out a gun and demanded the victim’s money. The victim, fearing for his life, complied and handed over his money. The three subjects fled the scene.

Third Precinct officers conducted a thorough investigation and located the three subjects, ages 17, 16 and 15, on a Nice bus at the Ring Road Nice Bus Terminal and were placed into police custody without incident. An imitation firearm was recovered. No injuries were reported.

All three juvenile defendants are charged with first-degree robbery, second-degree robbery and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. They will be arraigned on December 31 at First District Court in Hempstead.
