Three Farmingdale Men Arrested for Strangling Another Man to Death

Suffolk County Police have arrested three men for the murder of a man who was found strangled in East Farmingdale last month.

On June 22 at approximately 1:35 a.m., First Precinct Police officers responded to Garity Place after a passerby called 911 to report a man on the side of the road. The man, Juan Carlos Diaz Geronimo, was pronounced dead at the scene by the East Farmingdale Fire Department.

It was determined that Diaz Geronimo, 48, of North Amityville, was strangled. Following an investigation by Homicide Squad detectives, Gustavo Hernandez, Walter Ramirez-Jeronimo and Wilson Ramirez-Jeronimo were arrested on Route 109 in Farmingdale on July 21 at approximately 6:40 p.m.

Hernandez, 38, Walter Ramirez-Jeronimo, 19, and Wilson Ramirez-Jeronimo, 18, all of 1 4th St., Farmingdale, have each been charged with second-degree murder. They were scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on July 22.
