A 17-year-old juvenile has been arrested for allegedly slashing two other teenagers during an argument in Westbury.
On May 4 at 9:30 p.m., Nassau County officers from the Third Squad responded for a 911 call for a disturbance in the vicinity of Jefferson Street and Cambridge Avenue. Upon arrival, they were informed that two male victims, 17 and 21, were just involved in a verbal argument with a male juvenile, 17, over a previous Facebook Marketplace purchase that escalated, resulting in the subject slashing both victims in their hands.
The victims were transported to a nearby hospital for evaluation and treatment of their injuries. The suspect was placed under arrest without incident.
Police charged the juvenile with second-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. He is scheduled to be arraigned on May 5 at First District Court, Youth Offender Part, in Hempstead.
