Nassau County Fifth Squad detectives are looking to identify and locate a man who broke into an apartment complex in Valley Stream last month and stole items from a number of storage units.
On September 16 at 2:08 a.m., officers responded to a burglary at The Hawthorne Apartments located at 125 S. Cottage Street. Upon arrival, police determined that an unknown male subject had attempted to gain entry into the victim’s storage unit. Further investigation revealed that multiple storage units in the facility had been broken into and various items were removed. The subject left the scene in an unknown direction. The investigation is ongoing.
The subject is described as a Black male, approximately six-foot-one, wearing a black long sleeve shirt, black pants, black sneakers and a black baseball hat.
