Nassau County officers from the Fifth Squad are searching for a person who fired a gun outside a home in Elmont.
On February 28 at 12:03 a.m., officers responded to a Covert Avenue residence for a disturbance. Upon further investigation, it was determined that an unknown person discharged a firearm outside the home and fled the scene in an unknown direction. No injuries were reported. The investigation is ongoing.
