A Rosedale man was arrested for stealing items from a North Lawrence store.
On February 4, at approximately 5:37 p.m., Jose Angel Rodriguez, 43, went to Target, located at 345 Rockaway Turnpike, and allegedly hid various items under his clothing. He then left the store, passing all checkpoints without paying. Loss prevention officers confronted Rodriguez, who then allegedly pushed the employee before running from the scene.
Officers located Rodriguez near the Target and arrested him without further issues. Upon gathering the stolen merchandise, none of it was considered sellable.
Rodriguez, of 24806 Rockaway Boulevard, was charged with robbery in the third degree, petit larceny, obstructing governmental administration, and tampering with physical evidence. He is being arraigned on February 5 at First District Court.
