Roosevelt Man Arrested for Assaulting Officer

A Roosevelt man was arrested for assaulting an officer after violating an order of protection.  

Shabez Hall violated an order of protection by entering the victim’s residence. When police arrived, officers attempted to place Hall into custody. Hall resisted arrest, became violent and combative and injured an officer. The officer was transported to a local area hospital for treatment and evaluation. 

Shabez Hall, 30, was arrested on Wednesday for violation of an order of protection by entering a victim’s residence, resisting arrest, and assault. 

Hall was charged with second-degree assault, second-degree criminal contempt and resisting arrest. He was scheduled to be arraigned on June 20 at First District Court in Hempstead.
