A Roosevelt man was arrested for an assault that occurred in Roosevelt.
On December 25 at midnight, Nassau County First Squad officers responded to a disturbance on Lakewood Avenue. Upon arrival, it was determined that a 22-year-old male victim was involved in an argument with Ramon Blandon, 48, of 54 Lakewood Avenue. The argument escalated and Blandon grabbed a box cutter and slashed the victim on the face, causing a laceration. Blandon was arrested at the scene without incident. The victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
Blandon was charged with second-degree assault, second-degree menacing and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. He was arraigned on December 25 at First District Court in Hempstead.
