Queens Woman Arrested for Grand Larceny, ID Theft in N. Woodmere

A Queens woman was arrested for a Grand Larceny that occurred between June 2024 and January 2025 in North Woodmere.

Sarika Mangru, 48, of 11138 142nd Street, Jamaica, was employed as a home care aide for a 90-year-old female victim. During that time, the defendant allegedly used the victim’s credit card to make unauthorized transactions totaling approximately $30,000. On September 16, 2025, after a thorough investigation, detectives arrested Mangru without incident.

Police charged Mangru with Grand Larceny in the Third Degree, two counts of Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree, Identity Theft in the First Degree and Unlawful Possession of a Personal ID in the Third Degree. She was arraigned on September 17 at First District Court in Hempstead.
