A Queens man has been detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) after Nassau County police arrested him for grand larceny.
According to Major Case Squad detectives, a thorough investigation led to the arrest of Fabio Diaz Sierra, 46, of College Point for his alleged involvement in the following incidents:
- On October 14, 2025, a victim withdrew money from Chase Bank located at 2360 Jericho Turnpike in Garden City Park and proceeded to Atlantic Avenue, where he parked his vehicle. When the victim returned to his vehicle, the money was stolen from the center console.
- On November 13, 2025, a victim withdrew money from TD Bank located at 540 Jericho Turnpike in Mineola and proceeded to a parking lot on Jericho Turnpike in Garden City Park, where he parked his vehicle. When the victim returned to his vehicle, the front passenger window was broken and the money was taken.
- On November 21, 2025 a victim withdrew money from Chase Bank located at 2360 Jericho Turnpike in Garden City Park and proceeded to a parking lot on Franklin Avenue in Garden City, where he parked his vehicle. When the victim returned to his vehicle, the passenger window was broken and the money, along with other items, was taken.
Diaz Sierra and charged him with three counts of Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree and two counts of Criminal Mischief in the Third Degree. He was released on an appearance ticket and released into the custody of ICE.
