A Queens man was arrested for allegedly stealing a bicycle from the victim, then pulling a knife on him.

On June 4 at 6:37 p.m., a 21-year-old male agreed to sell a bicycle to an unknown potential purchaser through Facebook Marketplace. Both parties agreed to meet in the vicinity of Nassau Road and E. Fulton Avenue in Roosevelt. The male subject tested out the bicycle but did not return or render payment. A short time later, the victim located the subject and after a brief struggled ensued, the subject allegedly brandished a knife.

After a thorough investigation, officers located Amir Attoussi, 23, of 209-38 41st Avenue in Flushing, placed him under arrest without incident and recovered the knife. It was later determined Attoussi initially provided police with false information regarding his name and is also responsible for two larcenies that occurred in February and May in Nassau County.

Police charged Attoussi with first-degree robbery, third-degree criminal mischief, false impersonation, second-degree obstructing governmental administration and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. He is scheduled to be arraigned on June 5 at First District Court in Hempstead.

Detectives are asking anyone who feels they may have been a victim of the above defendant to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
