Suffolk County police arrested a Lindenhurst man on weapons charges after dozens of weapons were allegedly found during a probation search of his home.
First Squad detectives responded to 202 E. Granada Ave., after probation officers reportedly observed brass knuckles and an expandable baton during a search at probationer Albert Tusa’s home. A further search allegedly recovered eight handguns, 17 long guns, 16 switchblades, and two high-capacity magazines.
Tusa, 60, who was on probation for Criminal Contempt, was charged with eight counts of Criminal Possession of a Firearm, one count of Criminal Possession of an Assault Weapon, 43 counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon-Prior Conviction in the Third Degree, two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree and one count of Criminal Contempt in the Second Degree.
Tusa was held overnight at the Third Precinct for arraignment at First District Court in Central Islip on November 15.
