Pair on Bicycle Rob Another Man in New Cassel

Nassau County police from the Third Squad are asking for the public’s help in finding two men who allegedly robbed another person in New Cassel.

On April 21 at 6:26 a.m., a 30-year-old male was walking northbound on Monitor Street near the intersection of Roman Avenue when two male subjects riding on a single bicycle approached him. One of the subjects asked the victim for cash, which the victim refused to comply. The subject then displayed a small knife and pointed it at the victim. The victim, fearing for his life, complied and gave the subject his backpack containing money and multiple personal items.

The two subjects then fled the scene on their bicycle northbound. The victim reported no injuries at the scene. The investigation is ongoing.

The first subject is described as a Black male, medium height and thin build. He was last seen wearing a black top, blue jeans and a black surgical mask.

The second subject is also described as a Black male, medium height and thin build. He was last seen wearing a black top, black pajama pants and a black surgical mask.
