Two Queens men were arrested for a late-night robbery at a bar in Farmingdale.
On January 26 at 1 a.m., Robert Nemtzian, 18 and Edward Nemtzian, 23, both of 3357 190th Street, Flushing, entered The Nutty Irishman, located at 323 Main Street. While entering the location, Nemtzian attempted to use a forged New York State driver’s license, but was denied entry by a 52-year-old male employee. Nemtzian pushed past the employee and grabbed approximately $100 from on top of a cash register. He then attempted to grab more cash from the hand of the 52-year-old victim by pushing him to the ground but was unsuccessful and both defendants fled the scene.
Officers responded and were able to locate both defendants a short time later. Robert and Edward Nemtzian were placed under arrest without further incident. No injuries were reported at the scene.
Robert Nemtzian and Edward Nemtzian were both charged with second-degree robbery. Robert Nemtzian was additionally charged with second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument. They were scheduled to be arraigned on January 26 at First District Court in Hempstead.
