
Nassau County officers arrested a New Jersey woman for an assault that occurred in Manhasset.
On March 19, at approximately 1:10 p.m., the female victim was sitting on a bus stop bench at Northern Boulevard and Maple Street. While waiting for the bus, she was hit several times with a closed fist by Dalisa Wormack.
Two good samaritans came to help the victim and stopped the attack. After arriving, officers arrested Wormack, 40, of 405 South 15th Street, Newark, New Jersey.
The victim sustained injuries to her right leg, hip, elbow, and ribs. She suffered lacerations to both of her hands. The victim was brought to a local hospital, where it was discovered that her ribs were fractured.
Wormack was charged with assault in the second degree. She was scheduled to be arraigned on March 20 at First District Court.
