
A Massapequa Park woman has been arrested for arson after she allegedly threatened to burn down the house while there were children inside the home.
for an incident that occurred on Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at 1:14 pm in Massapequa Park.
On August 26 at 1:4 p.m., Nassau County officers from the Seventh Squad responded to an Ocean Avenue residence for a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, they were informed that Stephanie Spada, 46, was allegedly involved in a verbal argument with a male victim, 50. The argument escalated and the male victim fled the scene.
Spada allegedly sent text messages, threatening to burn the house down and allegedly placed a propane tank on top of the stove with two children, 14 and 10, inside the home. Subsequent to the investigation, officers located Spada and placed her under arrest without further incident. She was transported to a local area hospital for evaluation. No injuries were reported.
Police charged Spada with Arson in the Second Degree and two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child. She was scheduled to be arraigned on August 27 at First District Court in Hempstead.
