Man Dies from Apparent Shooting in Hempstead

Nassau County Homicide Squad detectives are asking for the public’s help in offering information about a shooting at an intersection in Hempstead.

On March 1 at 12:22 p.m., Hempstead Police responded to the intersection of West Graham Avenue and Peninsula Boulevard for the report of an unresponsive male. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male victim who had sustained apparent gunshot wounds and administered medical aid. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead by a physician.

The investigation is ongoing.
