Man Arrested For Killing His Father

Suffolk County officers arrested a Dix Hills man for shooting his father to death in their home.

On March 19 at about 7:25 a.m., officers arrived at a Seaman Neck Road home after a 911 caller reported a man hiding in their shed. When the officers arrived, it was determined the man, Christopher Miller, 43, was injured in a motor vehicle crash earlier in the week and had recently been released from a local hospital. Officers brought Miller back to his home, located at 27 Bruno Lane, where they discovered he had shot his father, John “Jack” Miller, 75, to death before he fled the scene.

Miller was charged with second-degree murder. He was brought to a local hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the previous car crash and will be arraigned at First District Court at a later date.
