
A Levittown man was arrested for allegedly pointing a shotgun at another man during an argument.
On May 2 at 10:30 a.m., officers responded to a Levittown residence for a disturbance. Upon arrival, they were informed that Guliang Zhao, 60, was involved in a verbal argument with a 29-year-old man. The argument escalated and Zhao pointed a shotgun at the victim. The male subject fired one shot, hitting a wall before fleeing the scene.
A shell casing was recovered from the scene. No injuries were reported.
After a thorough investigation, officers located Zhao and placed him under arrest without incident. Two shotguns were recovered.
Police charged Zhao with fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, second-degree menacing, second-degree reckless endangerment and prohibited use of a weapon. He was scheduled to be arraigned on May 3 at First District Court in Hempstead.
