Man Arrested for Allegedly Inappropriately Touching 3 Children

Suffolk County police arrested a man for allegedly inappropriately touching three children at a Medford business on three separate occasions.  

Jimmy Harry Velasquez Gomez was arrested in front of 6 Main Street, East Islip, on November 1 after he allegedly inappropriately touched a 9-year-old girl at T.J. Maxx, located at 2799 Horseblock Road, on October 29  at approximately 6:45 p.m. 

Following an investigation by Special Victims Section and Criminal Intelligence Detectives, it was determined that Gomez also allegedly inappropriately touched a 7-year-old and an 11-year-old at the same store on April 21 and September 25.  

Gomez, 44, of 226 Hawthorne St., in Mastic, was charged with three counts of Sexual Abuse in the First Degree and three counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child. He was held at the Third Precinct and scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on November 2.
