Levittown Woman Assaulted in Her Home

Nassau County Eighth Squad detectives are asking for the public’s help in searching for a person who assaulted a woman in her own home in Levittown.

According to detectives, officers responded to a residential home for a possible burglary on  June 9 at 2:30 a.m. Police arrived and saw a 64-year-old woman who claims she was assaulted. According to detectives’ reports, the victim was asleep in her home when she was awoken by an unknown subject striking her in the face with an unknown object. The subject fled the scene in an unknown direction.

The victim was transported to a local area hospital for evaluation and treatment of her injuries. No further description of the subject is available. The investigation is ongoing.
