A Levittown man is facing multiple charges after a domestic disturbance escalated into a violent confrontation with police.

On July 14 at approximately 4:10 p.m., officers responded to a home in Levittown following a call regarding a domestic dispute. Upon arrival, officers learned that Tucker Hahn, 28, had been involved in a verbal altercation with a 34-year-old male victim. The dispute allegedly turned physical when Hahn struck the victim’s cellphone.

When officers attempted to place Hahn under arrest, police say he became violent and combative, resulting in one officer sustaining an arm injury during the struggle. Hahn was eventually subdued and taken into custody. Both the defendant and the injured officer were transported to nearby hospitals for evaluation and treatment.

Hahn is charged with Assault in the Second Degree, Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree, and Obstructing Governmental Administration in the Second Degree. He is scheduled to be arraigned on July 15 at First District Court in Hempstead.
