A Kings Park man has been arrested for allegedly robbing two banks in Babylon Town.
Brian Blackford entered Flagstar Bank, located at 653 Montauk Highway in West Babylon, on December 8 at approximately 3:45 p.m. He allegedly handed a teller a note demanding cash. The teller complied and Blackford fled on foot.
On December 10, Blackford entered another Flagstar Bank, located at 1501 Deer Park Ave. in North Babylon, at 12:48 p.m. and allegedly handed a teller a note demanding cash. The teller complied and Blackford fled on foot.
Blackford was identified as the suspect at a traffic stop in front of 11 Beach Ave. in Copiague on December 11 at 12:40 a.m.
Blackford, 51, of 281 Kohr Drive, was charged with two counts of Robbery in the Third Degree, one count of Resisting Arrest, and one count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fifth Degree.
