Huntington Man Sentenced for Sexually Abusing His Two Daughters

A 50-year-old Huntington man was sentenced for sexually abusing his two daughters.

In February 2012, the defendant began sexually abusing his oldest daughter, who was 10 years old at this time. A short time later, the defendant began to also sexually abuse his youngest daughter, who was eight years old at the time. The defendant’s behavior escalated to abusing both children simultaneously and abusing one child in front of the other.

The abuse occurred while the victims’ mother was at work, and the defendant would often use the promise of gifts to lure the children into abuse again. The abuse ended around September 2012 when the victims’ mother was home more often.

The victims initially disclosed the abuse to members of their church, and later as young adults, they reported it to law enforcement. The defendant was arrested on August 30, 2023, and held on $250,000 cash, $500,000 bond, or $2.5 million partially secured bond.

On May 14, the defendant was convicted of the following charges after a jury trial heard before Acting Supreme Court Justice Karen M. Wilutis:

  • Two counts of Course of Sexual Conduct Against a Child in the First Degree, Class B violent felonies; and
  • Two counts of Incest in the First Degree, Class B violent felonies.

On June 17, 2025, the defendant was sentenced to 48 years in prison followed by 20 years of post release supervision.

The identity of the defendant is not being disclosed to protect the identities of the victims.

“The serious sentence sends a clear message to abusers that we will not tolerate child abuse in Suffolk County,” said Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond A. Tierney. “While their father’s heinous actions can never be undone, I applaud these two young women for coming forward to report their father and testify before the jury. Their bravery will keep others from being abused.”
