Homeless Man Found Stabbed to Death in Bay Shore

Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the stabbing death of a homeless man that occurred in Bay Shore.

Third Precinct officers responded to Railroad Plaza after a 911 caller reported a man stabbed at 6:40 p.m. When officers arrived, they found a man with a stab wound to his chest behind 115 Railroad Plaza.

The victim, Shurvell Rush, 47, who is undomiciled, was transported to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore where he was pronounced dead.
