Hicksville Man Arrested for Robbery

A Hicksville man has been arrested for allegedly robbing two establishments.

According to Nassau County Robbery Squad detectives, two robberies in which a male subject was carrying a brown handled butcher knife occurred at the following dates and locations:

  • Bolla Mart, 620 Old Country Road, Hicksville on September 22
  • A&N Grocery, 151 Levittown Parkway, Hicksville on November 20

On Decemeber 10 at 6 a.m., following a thorough investigation into the above incidents, Robbery Squad Detectives along with the assistance of the Bureau of Special Operations (BSO), Electronics Squad, Crime Scene and Eighth Squad detectives initiated a search warrant at the home of Bryan McMenamin, 50 of 124 Acre Lane, where he was placed under arrest. Further investigation resulted in the butcher knife used in both incidents being recovered at scene.

Police charged McMenamin with Robbery in the First Degree, two counts of Menacing in the Second Degree, Criminal Mischief in the Second Degree and Robbery in the First Degree. He was arraigned on December 10 at First District Court in Hempstead.
