Two Flushing men have been arrested for an incident that occurred in Manhasset.

An officer was patrolling through the Macy’s parking lot located at 1100 Northern Boulevard on July 16 at 4:24 p.m. when he was notified by a Macy’s loss prevention associate that two males had just stolen items and were fleeing in a black Kia. Officers initiated a Vehicle and Traffic Law stop on the vehicle in the vicinity of Northern Boulevard and Community Drive. The vehicle’s occupants, Lawrence Davis, 37, of 46-18 194th Street and Hulin Piao, 42, of 139-06 34th Road, were both placed under arrest without incident.

It was also determined that Davis was involved in a physical altercation with a loss prevention associate while fleeing the store.

They were charged with second-degree robbery. Hulin Piao is also charged with Criminal Possession of Anti-Security Item. They will both be arraigned on Wednesday, July 17th, in First District Court.
