Farmingdale Man Arrested After Allegedly Threatening Police With Broken Bottle

A Farmingdale man was arrested after allegedly damaging property, unlawfully entering a garage, and threatening police officers with a broken glass bottle.

On June 24 around 9:07 a.m., officers responded to a residence on Conklin Street for a reported disturbance. Michael Harrison, 44, of 94 Conklin Street, had entered a garage at the location without permission and caused property damage.

When officers attempted to speak with Harrison, he allegedly broke the end of a glass bottle and verbally threatened them. He was arrested at the scene without further incident.

Harrison is charged with burglary in the third degree, menacing a police officer, criminal mischief in the second degree, and criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree.

He is scheduled to be arraigned on June 25 at First District Court in Hempstead.
