Elmont Man Arrested in Fatal Stabbing

An Elmont man has been arrested for allegedly stabbing a man to death inside his residence.

On December 28 at 1:08 p.m., Nassau County police officers responded to 264 Travis Avenue for an aided case involving a victim who had been stabbed. Upon arrival, officers located a 33-year-old male inside the residence who had been stabbed numerous times. Witnesses at the scene identified Desean Harrison, 23, who lived at the residence, as the alleged suspect. He was arrested without incident. The victim was transported to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead by hospital staff.

Police charged Harrison with Murder in the Second Degree. He was scheduled to be arraigned on December 29 at First District Court in Hempstead.
