
An East Meadow woman who is a patient at Nassau University Medical Center was arrested for punching a nurse who was caring for her.
Officers responded to the hospital, located at 2201 Hempstead Turnpike, where a 45-year-old female victim, a registered nurse, was performing her duties caring for April Gologorsky, 47, of 405 Bellmore Road. The defendant became agitated and struck the victim in the face with a closed fist, breaking her glasses and causing a laceration to her face and substantial pain. Officers placed Gologorsky under arrest without incident.
Gologorsky was charged with second-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal mischief. She will be arraigned at a later date.
