Dog Snatcher Apprehended

Nassau County police arrested a man for allegedly stealing a dog from a teenage girl in Roosevelt.

On January 13 at approximately 10:45 p.m., a 15-year-old girl was walking her dog on Conlon Road near the intersection of Grenada Avenue when she was approached by Keame Rowser, who allegedly forcibly removed the dog from the victim and walked away from the scene. Police responded, and after an investigation, Rowser was located and arrested without incident. The dog was returned to the victim. No injuries were reported.

Police charged Rowser, 29, of Roosevelt, with Robbery in the Third Degree and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. He was arraigned on  January 14at First District Court in Hempstead.
