Nassau County police are investigating a commercial burglary that took place in South Farmingdale.
On February 16 at 3:20 a.m., officers from the Eighth Precinct responded to Evergreen Smoke Shop, located at 199 Merritts Road for a commercial burglary. Upon arrival, they determined that an unknown subject wearing a dark hoodie broke the front glass door with a metal object and entered the store.
Further investigation revealed that the cash register had been thrown onto the ground and an unknown amount of cash and vapes had been removed. The subject fled in an unknown direction.
The investigation is ongoing.
