Burglar Breaks into Baldwin Residence

Nassau County officers from the First Squad are investigating a residential burglary that occurred in Baldwin.

On August 4 at 1:03 a.m., police responded to a Wesley Street residence for a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, officers learned that a resident of the home heard their rear door open and then saw an unknown male suspect in their kitchen. The suspect allegedly grabbed a white tote bag containing various items from a table and fled out the rear door. The suspect was last seen running westbound on Wesley Street towards Grand Avenue.

The suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 6’2” tall with a thin build and wearing a black hooded jacket, black pants, black mask and dark gloves.

The investigation is ongoing.
