A Brooklyn woman has been arrested for assaulting two police officers in front of a motel in North Lawrence.

On October 21 at 1 p.m. , Nassau County Fourth Squad officers responded to the Five Towns Motor Inn, located at 655 Rockaway Turnpike, for a female refusing to leave a transporter van that was providing rides to and from John F. Kennedy International Airport. Upon arrival, officers found Frances Hierro sitting inside of the van with an open bath robe exposing herself, acting erratically and refusing to comply with police.

Two officers sustained injuries as Hierro became increasingly violent and combative. Officers utilized their Taser and Hierro was placed under arrest. Both officers and Hierro were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment and evaluation.

Hierro, 52, of 1413 New York Avenue, is being charged with two counts of second-degree assault, second-degree obstructing governmental administration, fourth-degree criminal mischief and public lewdness. She is to be arraigned on October 22 at First District Court in Hempstead.
