Brooklyn Man Arrested for Leaving Child in Car Unattended at Valley Stream Parking Lot

A Brooklyn man has been arrested for leaving his infant son in his car unattended at a parking lot in Valley Stream.

On November 23 at 12:17 p.m., Nassau County Fifth Precinct police responded to Walmart, located at 77 Green Acres Road, for an infant left unattended in a car. Upon arrival, officers observed a 10-month-old male infant in the rear seat of the vehicle. Officers broke the driver’s side front window and safely removed the child from the vehicle. A Nassau County Police Department Ambulance transported the child to a local hospital for evaluation.

Volodymer Krynytskyy, 42, of 1916 Avenue K, was responsible for leaving his child unattended and was placed under arrest without incident. The child was placed in the custody of a family member at the hospital.

Krynytskyy is charged with endangering the welfare of a child. He was arraigned on November 24 at First District Court in Hempstead.
