Brooklyn Duo Arrested for Allegedly Using Counterfeit Cash at Store

Two men from Brooklyn were arrested for allegedly using counterfeit money at a store in Roslyn Heights.

On June 14 at 12:05 p.m., Randy Jenkins, 29, of 1011 Winthrop Street, Brooklyn and Dave Sterling, 29, of 1521 Eastern Parkway, entered the CVS store located at 373 Willis Avenue and allegedly used counterfeit bills to make multiple purchases within the store.  When police arrived, they conducted an investigation and arrested both defendants without incident.

Police charged Jenkins with two counts of first-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument and petit larceny. Sterling was charged with first-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument and petit larceny. They both were scheduled to be arraigned on June 15 at First District Court in Hempstead.
