A Bronx woman, who was found to be in this country illegally, was arrested for prostitution at a motel in East Garden City.
On August 22 at 3:15 p.m., an undercover investigation was conducted at the Red Roof Inn, located at 699 Dibblee Drive. It was determined that prostitution was allegedly being conducted at this location. Nassau County Narcotics/Vice Squad Detectives placed Alba E. Herrera, 30, of 973 Aldus Street, under arrest without incident.
Police charged Herrera with Prostitution. She was released on an Appearance Ticket.
Further investigation revealed the defendant is illegally in the United States and is subject to removal proceedings. U.S. Immigration Customs Enforcement Agents (ICE) took custody of the defendant.
