Nassau County police responded to a call about abandoned kittens inside a cardboard box in Elmont.
On May 26 at 3:43 p.m., officers responded to Freeman Avenue for reports of multiple kittens that were abandoned. Upon arrival, officers located a cardboard box on the sidewalk with four kittens inside. The kittens appeared to be unharmed and officers transported them to the Town of North Hempstead Animal Shelter.
