Suffolk County police arrested five people for burglarizing a Bayport smoke shop.
Five people broke a window and stole money and vape products from Moe’s Sweet Air, located at 303 Bernice Drive, on May 5 at approximately 4:30 a.m. Following an investigation by Fifth Squad detectives, Jordan Rivera, 18, of 120 Westwood Road, Brentwood; Christian Evans, 21, of 455 Lincoln Ave., Brentwood; Keyshawn Grenville, 18, of 92 Suffolk Ave., Central Islip; Dominick Lopez, 19, of 92 Carleton Ave., Central Islip; and a 17-year-old male from West Islip were charged with third-degree burglary.
Evans and Rivera were also charged by Third Squad detectives with an additional count of third-degree burglary for burglarizing The Pawn Shop, located at 1680 Islip Ave. in Brentwood, less than an hour prior to the Bayport burglary. The pair broke a glass door and stole gaming systems, cell phones and watches.
Rivera, Evans, Grenville, and Lopez are scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on May 6. The 17-year-old male will be arraigned at a later date.
