
Suffolk County police arrested four teenagers on robbery and weapons charges after they allegedly robbed an 18-year-old male at gunpoint in Middle Island.
On October 9, an 18-year-old male arranged to sell luxury clothing to an unknown person through a popular social media site. Four males approached the seller on foot at the pre-arranged location for the sale, the parking lot of Fairview Circle, at approximately 5:05 p.m. Two of the males allegedly displayed handguns, and a large quantity of clothing was taken from the trunk of the seller’s automobile. The four teenagers fled the scene on foot.
A Canine Section officer was able to track the four subjects to 353 Artist Lake Drive in Middle Island, where they were arrested at approximately 6:35 p.m.
Seventh Squad detectives charged Isaac Brutus, 18, of 12 N. Jefferson Ave., Lindenhurst, Aubre Vandunk, 18, of 584 Yale St., Oceanside, the 16-year-old, and the 17-year old each with Robbery in the First Degree, Criminal Use of a Firearm in the First Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree, 2 counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree, and Criminal Possession of a Firearm.
The two 18-year-olds are scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip, and the two underage males in the Youth Part of First District Court on October 10.
