3 More Teens Arrested for Brightwaters Stabbing

A month after a 17-year-old was arrested for allegedly stabbing another teenager in Brightwaters, Suffolk County police arrested three more teenagers for their alleged roles in the crime.

A 911 caller reported a teenager had been stabbed during a fight between a group of youths in the rear parking lot of 169 Orinoco Drive on November 19 at 8:55 p.m. When police arrived, they found the victim with multiple stab wounds. He was transported to a local hospital in serious condition.  

Following an investigation by Third Squad detectives, a 17-year-old male, whose name is being withheld due to his age, was arrested at his home. He was charged with Gang Assault in the Second Degree.

On December 9, one 16-year-old male and one 17-year old male, both from Bay Shore, were arrested and charged with Gang Assault in the Second Degree. They were arraigned at the Youth Part of First District Court in Central Islip on December 10.

A 15-year-old Bay Shore male was arrested on December 10 and charged with Gang Assault in the First Degree and Assault in the First Degree. He is being held overnight at a juvenile facility in Nassau County for arraignment at the Youth Part of First District Court in Central Islip on December 11.

The names of the teenagers are being withheld due to their ages.
