Two people were arrested for allegedly stealing merchandise from a store in Westbury.
On November 9 at 7:32 p.m., Nassau County officers from the Third Squad responded to Target, located at 999 Corporate Drive, for a report of a larceny in progress. Officers located and arrested Gustavo Tellez Carillo, 36, and Erika Gomez Moreno, 33, both of 45 East 45 Street, New York. Further investigation determined that both defendants are in the United States illegally and are subject to removal proceedings.
Police charged Tellez Carillo and Gomez Moreno with Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree. They were released on appearance tickets and taken into custody by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents.
