Suffolk County Police arrested two men for allegedly selling tobacco products to an underage person during compliance checks at Huntington Station businesses.
In response to numerous community complaints, Second Precinct Investigative Unit officers conducted an investigation into the sale of tobacco and vape products to underage people at 10 vape shops throughout the town of Huntington. Two Huntington Station businesses were reportedly found not to be in compliance with the law.
Ali Abdoulla Alssoudi, an employee at Joe Joe Convenience and Candy Store, located at 212 Depot Road, was charged with Unlawfully Dealing with a Child in the Second Degree. Osvani Ramos Tiros, an employee at Tobacco Corner, located at 117 Walt Whitman Road, was charged with Unlawfully Dealing with a Child in the Second Degree.
Abdoulla Alssoudi, 34, of Brooklyn, and Ramos Tiros, 28, of Huntington Station, were issued Field Appearance Tickets and are scheduled to appear at First District Court in Central Islip on a later date.
