Suffolk County Police have arrested a male in connection with a vehicle that was stolen while a child was inside in Brentwood.
Third Precinct police officers responded after a 2014 Honda Civic, which was running with a three-year-old child inside, was stolen from a driveway on Whipple Street in Brentwood on December 11 at 11:30 p.m.
Following an extensive search, the vehicle and child were located on Bretton Road in Hauppauge on December 12 at approximately 5 a.m. The child was unharmed and was transported to Good Samaritan University Hospital in West Islip for evaluation.
Third Squad detectives charged a 17-year-old Central Islip male with Grand Larceny in the Third Degree in connection with the incident.
