Children Can Earn Three Free Rides or a Discounted Ride Bracelet at the 49th Annual Feast of Mother Cabrini Read & Ride Days

Children are eligible to earn three free rides or a discounted ride bracelet during the 49th Annual Feast of Mother Cabrini Read & Ride Days, which will take place on August 26 from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. and September 5 from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. This offer is eligible for students grades K-8.

Children must read three books approved by their teachers or parents, then write a brief summary of each book in order to earn three free rides or $15 off the cost of a bracelet (children six and under may draw a picture that describes the book). To receive the free rides or the discounted bracelet, they must bring the completed form to the ticket booth. Only one form per child is allowed and the child must be present to receive the free rides or the bracelet. Photocopies are not permitted.

The Feast of Mother Cabrini is presented by the Giuseppe A. Nigro Lodge #2234 – Order of the Sons of Italy and is partnered with Newton Shows, which has been a longtime supporter of the lodge’s literacy program. “We are proud to support a program that encourages children to continue reading throughout the summer,” said Mike Newton, the president of Newton Shows. “Children can then read their favorite books and be able to earn free rides or a discounted bracelet at the carnival.”

Sal Bisculca, president of the Giuseppe A. Nigro Lodge #2234, said, “We wish to thank Newton Shows for its gracious partnership with the Feast of Mother Cabrini. Our feast has been a proud supporter of the literacy program and other local charities to help those in need during these difficult times.”
