North Hempstead Town Councilwoman Mariann Dalimonte recently recognized two local businesses — Painting with Flowers and Toscanini Ristorante Italiano — each celebrating milestone anniversaries in Port Washington.
Earlier this month, Dalimonte joined Painting with Flowers in marking 40 years in business. Led by the mother-and-daughter team of Gayle and Alison, the boutique has long been a destination for “all things beautiful for Woman & Home.”
Their creativity, dedication, and warm personal touch have made Painting with Flowers a beloved fixture in town.
“Gayle and Alison have spent four decades bringing beauty, joy, and inspiration to Port

Washington,” Dalimonte said. “Their hard work and heart have transformed their shop into a true community treasure. I congratulate them on this remarkable milestone and wish them many more years of success.”
Dalimonte also celebrated the 20th anniversary of Toscanini Ristorante Italiano, a dining staple known for its welcoming atmosphere and delicious Italian cuisine. Owner Freddy has spent two decades creating a place where everyone feels like family. His generosity and unwavering support for the Port Washington community have made Toscanini far more than just a restaurant.
“Freddy’s kindness and commitment to our town shine through in everything he does,” Dalimonte said. “For 20 years, Toscanini has been a gathering place filled with warmth, wonderful meals, and memorable moments. I am grateful for all Freddy has contributed to our community and congratulate him on this special anniversary.”
